It appears that earlier dev hardware for the Nintendo Switch used a version of Fontworks' Rodin Bold as its UI font. This choice would keep it in line with the GameCube, Wii, and Wii U, which all used RodinNTLG.

However Morisawa's UD Shin Go NT was used in the Switch's final UI. https://twitter.com/forestillusion/status/1361203489473396741
